Slaughterhouse Control
An integral part of our control house is the Slaughter Line Business Center, whose activity includes the procedure of sorting and marking animal carcasses in the slaughterhouse according to the provisions of the Ordinance on the classification and marking of beef, pig and sheep carcasses and marking of meet originating in bovine animals less than 12 months old (OG 71/2018, 4.8.2018). The Ministry of Agriculture has entrusted the tasks of classification and labeling to authorized legal entities, whose employees - classifiers perform this activity.
Classification and labeling are carried out in several stages:
• establishing the identity of the carcass;
• determining the correctness of carcass processing of carcasses;
• determining the carcass weight of the carcass;
• determining the category, class and degree of fat cover of the carcass;
• marking carcasses;
• keeping records of the performed classification
The Slaughter Line Business Center is the holder of the authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture because it has met all the requirements prescribed by the Regulations - trained staff, possession of appropriate equipment and continuous fulfillment of HRN EN ISO / IEC 17020: 2012, which is confirmed by accreditation by the Croatian Accreditation Agency.
